Update "Manage Administrators" Page / Modals For Custom Experience Terminology, Release Date: 10/10/24
This task aims to update the "Manage Administrators" page and related elements to better reflect customized terminology. The title will now display as "Manage [Experience] Administrators," where "Experience" is based on the partner's terminology settings. Reference screenshot here.
The Campaign Management icon card will also be updated to match the new page title (see here).
Additionally, the "Add Administrators" pop-up will be updated to match this change (reference screenshot here). A new link will be added in the modal that directs users to the Organization-level admin page for managing organization-wide administrators. Watch the demo here.
Updates To Google Analytics Events, Release Date: 10/23/24
The application now sends specific Google Analytics (GA) events to organizations that have Google Analytics enabled in their integrations. The events that will be sent include:
- view_item: When an item is viewed.
- add_to_cart: When an item is added to the cart.
- begin_checkout: When the checkout process begins.
- purchase: When a purchase is completed.
These events will be triggered with the same conditions including details like currency, values, and items. However, instead of using the DataLayer method, these events will be sent using the Google gtag API per the following Google documentation specified here. Additionally, we removed the implementation of the "source" parameter when sending the event. Instead, the application will use the campaign URL for the page_location parameter, and the title of the page for the page_title parameter.
Add Partner-Level Terminology For "Experience", Release Date: 10/23/24
RallyUp's partners now have the ability to customize the terminology for "Experience" or "Experiences" throughout the app. By default, the term "Experience" will still be used, but partners can change it at their discretion. For example, if a partner prefers the term "Campaign" instead of "Experience," they can set that as the default for their partner.
The new terminology will appear in various places, such as the side navigation menu, the My Experiences page, donor profiles, and modals, but only for users outside of system or partner admin roles. This change was prompted because "Experience" hasn't gained the popularity the marketing team hoped for, so "Campaign" will likely be used more frequently.
The new terminology setting will be managed through the partner setup, allowing flexibility for different partner preferences.
